  2. W4V3MAKER says:

It’s been 8day and the white nubs have grew into half inch long roots all around the base. Thanks Praxx.

    Pineapple haters, suck! Great Video.

  4. TruthFromTheHeart says:

@Praxxus55712 Alright thank you for the information

  5. Praxxus55712 says:

@TruthFromTheHeart It has less chance of a successful transplanting if put into sunlight or bright light due to the light encouraging the leaves to grow. It can not support leaf growth with no roots. It will draw energy from older leaves, thus killing itself in the process.

  6. TruthFromTheHeart says:

@Praxxus55712 Thanks for the info, will it die if it stays in the sun?

  7. Praxxus55712 says:

@TruthFromTheHeart Any bright light. Keep it in a shaded area for the first week or two after planting. Then move it into a bright location.

  8. TruthFromTheHeart says:

@Praxxus55712 Bright light as in a lamp, or bright light as in the sunlight?, and also I live in a California and it gets about 56 degrees here at night, could I still leave it outside then?

  9. Praxxus55712 says:

@TruthFromTheHeart Even the tiny brow nubs will grow into roots much of the time. Just keep it out of bright light in the beginning to allow it to take root without stress. Good luck with it! :)

  10. TruthFromTheHeart says:

My pineapple was about as fresh as yours but the roots were not as far out as yours, there were still those tiny brown things there but will it grow?

  11. W4V3MAKER says:

  13. openyada says:

do you use any lightening for your plants?

  14. f16grinder says:

@12quillemall5321 The plant will bear fruit three times that is useful. The first is the kind put in the store like the one in the video above. The second one is used for canning and the third is used for juice. This is because the pineapples will be smaller each time and not as sweet. You can add sugar for the canned and juiced pineapple.

  15. Praxxus55712 says:

@12quillemall5321 The main plant only puts out one but mine is sending out a side shoot from the plant. I’m betting it’ll produce fruit. Don’t tell your mom I told you this. I don’t want her hitting me with a pineapple plant. :)

  16. 12quillemall5321 says:

My mom say pineapple plants bears fruit once. Afterwards the plant will never grow another fruit and should be trashed. Is that true. I have several plants around my home, and I’m wondering should I keep them

This well done video inspires gardeners to garden year round despite the climate you may live in.

See his “Low Tunne” video for more results of growing in the winter.

Also, feautes a product called a “stick and peel tarp zipper” ( I think that’s what it’s call) some gardeners may not be familiar with.

    Thanks for sharing.
